In life, we imagine that our cafe will be a local informal meeting place - somewhere to catch up with friends, join a philosophical debate, make music, or nurse a quiet cup of coffee over the morning paper: a place for chance encounters and seredipitous meetings.  Ideally, the cafe will be a community owned business, staffed by young people from the village community.

    To the those who come after, 
     
    For me the greatest challenge about being alive at the beginning of the twenty-first century is the awareness of the rapid planetary devestation of the environment - the thought that things my grandparents took for granted will not be around for my children's children.  My dream for the future is webs of small communities living in tune with the land and it's seasons and with reverence for the sacred dimension of life.
